Today's training

Today, like any other day, is about building things. We had to built a gateway in 2 hrs, which could not ne finished. Everyone was exhausted after the training. But what we scouts did not know was that we were going to one of our scout leader's house to have lunch. When I entered his house, there was this warm welcome that i received. And there was also food prepared for us. All of us had noodles and chicken wings for lunch and there were sweets too after everyone had finished their meals. It was great, really, to be at his house. All the tiredness, all the pains, seemed to like just lessen or disapper. When it was time to go, we all thanked our leader for inviting us to his house and to see him soon. After that, I made my tiring journey home.

WCG grand finals

Our Singaporean 'Dead Or Alive Ultimate' gamer Wilson Chia has gained himself a spot at the semi finals at the Worls Cyber Games grand finals yesterday. There was quite a crowd after he showed his true ability while gaming. Another Singaporean, Royce Rahaja also made it to the semi-finals by playing Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. But others did not make it though. Halo 2 team 7th Sin lost to professionals from Britain and Australia. Mr Marcus Choy, the local champion for Fifa 2005 also lost to contenders from Brazil and Germany. But stay tune for tomorrow's match; Singapore's best in action Team Titans will play at suntec at 11am.

East Coast Park transfromed

Yay. Now East Coast Park will be upgraded to 'meet increasing future demands'. Carparks there will be upgraded and changed, there will be new gardens and facilities, and an overhead garden-bridge will be connected to the park with Marine Parade Central. Things which are also planned are a visitor centre, there will be more facilities for outdoor sports, organised weekend events, and also more food and beverage outlets will be built. A cable ski park will also be built at the former East Coast Park. All this work will be carried out in 2007 and will be completed in 2010. I hope by then, we can all go there to enjoy as a family.

From royalty to just plain commoner

The only daughter of Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko has married to a commoner. She wil be a commoner and will now live the life of a middle-class housewife. Although she is no longer part of the royal family, she will have not much difficulties as she has been given 152 million yen( S$2 million) from the government and tea cups worth 50000 yen each by her mother. Princess-no-more-to-be Sayakowill marry bridegroom Yoshiko Kuroda and may them be in happiness.

A bomb that did not go off

I read about this article on the first page of "The Straits Time" and it tells me that a would be suicide bomber had confessed that she and afew people had wanted to blow themselves up. Arccording to her, her vest could not detonate, whereas her husband's vest exploded, maybe killing some people( they never say). When the bomb exploded, and she found out that her vest could not work, she ran away, along with the fleeing crowd. She was later caught and arrested. We must ask ourselves why those people want to do this. What is their motive. How long will they take to realise what they are doing is actually wrong. All this can only be answered when they have all been arrested.

A very good chioce

This lady made a good chioce, and now she is living happily. She invested her money properly by buying 2 houses worth $63,000 and $80000 selling them 10 and 6 years later. By then, the price of their house has increased to $630, 000 and $200,000 respectively. And she also has formed a dance troop and teaches dancing at a community and is living in a 3-story house.

A new day

Its 12 am now. I was asleep for4 hours, due to tiredness being out the whole day. Now I cannot sleep. But it is a new day now, so this blog will be the blog for today; I'll be too tired to even wake up, yet alone write another blog for today. The previous day I was at school the whole day, building things such as a kitchen shed, tower, etc. All those in one day only. The heat has gave me sunburn for staying in the sun for the whole day, and has reduced me to being a so-called useless person.

Yet another tiring day

Today I had to wake up early in the morning to go to school for npc training. So at 9, we met up with the rest of the group and did some workout in the gym. At around 12, we went back to school to shower, and after that, we waited until 2 pm; we were supposed to be in school for our apc grouping. It lasted till around 6, and boy were we very tired. The whole day out. Again. I will be seeing more of these days next time, the next one is tomorrow. So I hope to get a good night's rest and prepare for tomorrow's training.

First day of our orienteering lessons

Today, the whole scout troop went to Scouts hq to conduct our first orienteering lesson. At first, we thought that we were supposed to help with the packing of clothes, but then we realised that we were actually going to start on our orienteering today. So we were out for half the day; we went from hq to bishan stadium, and from there we went to bishan park. We spent 1 or 2 hours at bishan park doing our own small hike. After that, we went straight home. It was a tiring day today and I'm glad that it was over.

My trip to Scouts Headquarters

I now am back from the trip to Bishan , and boy am i tired. When I reach the place, we were told to head to the 3rd floor. When we arrived, there was a moment of shock. Here in front of us, were heaps and heaps of clothes that were piled up. And worse of all, there were only afew people there, so I did not think that we can finish all the work by today and i was right; we only manage to complete half of the job. And adding to the workload was a cold that i got from the air-conditioner. Now I have a bad cold and I cannot stop sneezing. So at around 4 plus, we decided to head back home.

The most boring day ever

I've just come back home, feeling so tired. Not That I have been doing work for the whole day, but that there was nothing for me to do. At the zoo, we were supposed to be selling picture frames to the vistors that cam to th zoo, but there were so little people that came compared to yesterday. So Uncle Keith and I had to bear th minute crowd and tried hard to sell the frames. In the end, I was too tired and made my way home at around 4 plus.

Sunday's freedom

Usually on Sundays, it feels like the last day of the weekends; who would'nt want weekends? Some people feel that Sundays are a splinter in the skin, always reminding you that you still have to pull it through the next day. But for others whose holidays have started, they may think otherwise. They can stay up late due to the fact that they do not have to go to school, and need not worry about the next day, unlike the so-called stressed ones. I somehow feel that it is not because of whether we have school or not. I think that it is our own self, that makes us feel that way. So if these thoughts were to be cancelled out by oneself, then it would not matter whether we had to feel this or that way.

The day that Dad came back

Today is the ady whereby my dad is cominb back from his trip to Australia. He has been there for 5 days and now he is finally coming back to Singapore. He will be arriving in Singapore at around 6 in the evening, according to my mom. So we are really looking forward to seeing him later in the day.

TV Review: lost

Yesterday's "Lost" was abit thrilling. It started off as the few familiar people of lost building the boat. Michael, an African American was exhausted, so he drank his bottle of water. After a few minutes, it looked as if everything was going on smoothly then suddenly, Michael had a stomach ache. In fact, he was being poisoned by Sun( I think her name is pronounced that way), the korean lady.She had no intention whatsoever of poisoning Michael" .She wanted her husband to stay since he was leaving with Michael, so she tried to make him sick so that he cannot leave.But what i like is next week's episode where the intensity of the show is just too great for us. At first when I saw the cover of this book, I thought hey, this is quite childish. But when I glanced through the book, it gave very useful information about school life. It tells you what to do, and what not to do, what to say to your teachers or friends and what not to say. It's very useful for all types of students.You should try reading the book, it's worth reading.

I read this book on strength training and it seemed useful for people who want to train on their strength. It teaches you how to good different exercises for different parts of the body example for the legs, squats, lunges, and leg presses are to improve your leg muscles.This book book can be found from our nearby library, so it more convenient to find more of these kind of books.

The first jamboree meeting among our members

Today our jamboree members meet up together at dhoby ghaut mrt station. We headed to a nearby "Burger King" and discussed about things regarding the jamboree such as what to bring, how many gadgets we need, etc. so that lasted till around 12. When the meeting was over, Victor and I went to eat at a nearby kopitiam and after that I headed home. That's all for now, i will write again tomorrow
